Word is that you may want to sharpen up your skills with your Cannon, Nikon or even your iPhone or Android because we should be due to have a magnificent fall.

To be honest, I have been somewhat disappointed by the fall colors here in the Village, having been spoiled by the foliage of New England when I was stationed in Massachusetts.  Usually we have pretty dry months of August and September with an average rainfall of 2.7″ and 3.6″ respectively, which means that the leaves are dry and dead and are literally turning brown and falling off the trees before we can get a colorful fall foliage.

This year promises to be different. August delivered an especially wet 6.9″, and September is on track for around 5″.  in addition to a bonus of 5.37″ of more precipitation than usual between the first of the year and the end of July.  What this means is that we have a good chance of having a much better fall foliage than usual, and a great opportunity for you camera buffs to break out your favorite instruments, dust off your imaginations and abilities and make some long lasting memories.

So, what do you think?  Do you think it will be a better fall than usual when the days get shorter and the nighttime temps fall into the 40s and 50s?

I am going to leave you with a pic my brother in law took on Lake Balboa.  Please send yours and I will post them, as well.
